Keith Woodland
Creative Director/ Company Director

Keith Woodland is a producer, director and graphic designer with over twenty years experience in the film, television and video industry. After a four year degree in Graphic Design and two years lecturing, Keith moved into television, conceptualising, producing and directing hundreds of innovative and top rating programs for the Seven and Nine Networks for over eight years.

As Production Co-ordinator and Creative Director for the Nine Network Keith won a Gold World Medal at the New York Film Festival Awards for his documentary "No More Special Me" (Nine’s National contribution for the International Year of the Disabled) and continued to win critical acclaim for his outstanding television productions.

A highly respected television director/ producer, Keith co-established Elephant Productions in 1985 – starting his independent career by directing and producing the $1.5 million children’s television mini-series "The Ozlets" for International release.

Keith has won a reputation for ‘kick-ass’ productions particularly within the challenging Resource sector… creating programs that work, are cost effective and are created with minimal disturbance on site… safely and on time.

The prestigious International Mobie Award, for excellence in video production, was awarded to Elephant for a program directed by Keith and titled "No Sweat"… produced for Alcoa Australia. "No Sweat" also collected a National ‘Best Media’ Award from the Equal Opportunities Commission of Australia.

With many years specialising in Resource program making, from safety inductions, specialty training programs to high-end corporate and world release product Keith has earned an outstanding reputation and is the preferred supplier to the worlds best Resource companies. “We produce the highest quality product out of some of the toughest environments, understanding safety cultures and delivering programs that achieve results.”

Jen Dunstan
Creative Director/ Company Director

Jennifer Dunstan is a multi award winning Director/ Producer, Actor, TV Presenter and Voice Over Artist with over 20 years experience in professional theatre, commercial television and independent film and multi-media production.

Jen worked extensively in commercial television, co-conceptualising, co-producing and hosting hundreds of programs for the Nine Network. She has worked on-camera as a regular singing guest on The Midday Show, Nine Network, Sydney; and has presented and acted in many other TV programs, commercials (including being the face of Ford Australia for over 7 years), TV mini-series and Feature Films around Australia. She has won a Silver Logie for “Most Popular Female in WA Television” and a “Best Talent” award for television acting.

As a Company Director of Elephant Productions, Jen’s wealth of industry experience and knowledge is applied to all her programs as she Directs and Produces effective, workable, contemporary programs for a broad spectrum of clients.

Jen has specialised over the years in the production of sensitive material including programs for and about people with disabilities. Jen edited, produced and co-directed a documentary titled "It’s a Long Road". A revealing and poignant portrayal of the emotional journey of four women raising children with disabilities. The program was nominated for a New York Festival award in 2000. A follow up program titled "Going The Distance" (for fathers) won a Bronze World Medal at the 2003 New York Film Festival Awards.

The “The Count Us In” series for the Disabilities Services Commission and the Department of Education, directed by Jen and distributed to over 1200 schools throughout Western Australia, presents stories of young people with disabilities and targeted to Early Childhood, Middle School and Adolescence.

Jen has further produced and directed a plethora of programs for Government agencies, the Resource Sector with dramatic re-enactments and impactful storytelling.

Jen's dramatic "It Lasts a Lifetime" – directed and edited by Jen for Western Mining Corporation tells the story of the on-going impact of two fatalities at KNR in 1978. Silver Medal Australasian Video Awards 2005.

Chris Woodland
IT Director/ Company Director

Chris Woodland has been a director and producer of video, film and television for over 20 years.

Chris began his career with the Nine Network co-creating, directing and on-camera presenting hundreds of programs, documentaries and one-off specials. Chris was an Associate Producer for the Nine Network for six years, specialising in Young Peoples programming.

As one of the founding Directors of Elephant Productions, Chris has culminated his talents to become a diversely skilled director specialising in computer technology and effects.

Chris has created and conceptualised significant programs for the Corporate sector across Australia including a number of video series for International release.

Chris was responsible in association with Cleanaway Australia for initiating and directing Elephant’s large scale project on Waste Management, "There's No Time to Waste" the biggest direct video distribution project in Australia. Over 150,000 households received the video via post (showing how to manage and recycle waste effectively). Chris raised over half a million dollars in capital involving private and public sector funding and sponsorship.

Chris is also Elephant’s Information Technology Director and is our multi-media consultant. From menu page and DVD authoring constructs to website streaming and all forms and applications of electronic media, Chris can create solutions and valuable ideas for all your media needs.


Michael Callaghan
Script Writer (Freelance)

Michael Callaghan has been writing professionally since the late 70’s stemming from the Nine Network, co-creating and writing hundreds of high rating programs.

After six years in commercial television he then concentrated on corporate programming. He has since been engaged in writing for all multimedia, programming and copywriting for brochures, annual reports and prospectuses.

Throughout his career Michael has written many hundreds of programs for a wide range of commercial, corporate and industrial applications. His scripts range from educational programs and corporate inductions to marketing, safety and training and customer service programs for many private and public sector organisations, in diverse industry segments.

With his background in commercial television he has the proven ability to capture the essence of a subject and convey it in the most effective and engaging manner to the target audience.


Jessica Woodland
Producer/ Director

Jessica Woodland has had extensive experience in the West Australian film and television industry having worked in the coordination and creative areas of corporate, films, commercials, documentary and factual, lifestyle and children’s television. In recent years she has primarily been working in the production coordination areas of ‘How the Quest Was Won’ as an ABC national factual television program and Nine Networks national children’s drama ‘Streetsmartz 3’.

As well as producing and directing segments of ‘Postcards WA’ a lifestyle/travel show and scheduling and Assistant directing high-end West Australian commercials. Jess is one of our up-and-coming new Directors, already with a slate of successful and effective Elephant corporate presentations behind her.

Jess also works with our other Directors producing many programs and co-ordinating the shooting schedules ensuring a smooth production run.


Leanne Cole
Editor

Leanne Cole is a multi-award winning editor based in Western Australia. She has widespread experience and skill in the varying styles of editing from working on a vast range of short and long-form drama, corporates, series lifestyle television, documentaries and commercials.

In recent years she has edited high-end corporate videos, documentaries commissioned by SBS, several episodes of ‘Elife’, ‘From the Ground Up’ and ‘Vital TV’ for Network 10.

One of Leanne’s key strengths is her understanding of drama and has fast become a sought after editor in this area. She has edited many big budget, awarded and widely screened short films and has assistant edited the feature film ‘Teesh and Trude’ and short feature ‘Roll.’

She has won several West Australian Screen Awards for her editing, grading and effects work in this area.

As senior editor of Elephant Productions – Leanne’s vast skills translate into impactful and exciting program making.

 

Nicholas Savatovic
Systems Manager/ Assistant Editor

Nic graduated from Murdoch University at the end of 2006 with a Bachelor of Multimedia and a Bachelor of Arts in Media Studies. He has been nominated for a National Academy of Screen and Sound award for ‘Best Editing’ and has recently collected an award for ‘Best Visual Effects’. Nic has edited many music videos, short films and short promotional films.

As Systems Manager and Assistant Editor of Elephant Productions, Nic is responsible
for the sourcing, management and storage of all wild vision - current and archived footage, compression and menu authoring of master programs in standard or high definition formats.


Erin Duncan
Associate Producer

Erin co-ordinates the day to day activities at Elephant Productions and troubleshoots, co-ordinates and manages productions for all clients. She’s your first point of contact and can assist you with all your initial enquiries.
